Yaroslavlresinotechnika plans to sign a $2m contract

Yaroslavlresinotechnika (YaRT (which stands for Yaroslavl Rubber Technique)), part of NTM-Holding, plans to sign a $2m contract with Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd. on delivering “flexible rubber fencing” for the civil air cushion ships, according to the press service of the holding. The contract for supplying seven more ships will be signed in case the first trial is successful. The project of Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd with YaRT is the first in the Singapore shipbuilding. Ukrainian Nikolaev Turbine Plant will be participating in the project as well. According to the President of NTM Holding Nikolai Tonkov the Singapore project will allow the YaRT to upgrade the production facilities. According to him now the company is implementing a EUR9m investment program aimed at launching the production of the wedge-shaped belts for agricultural machinery. In the near two years the company will be also engaged in restoring the air cushion fleet of the Russian navy. Today YaRT is cooperating with Almaz Shipyards in building Zubr for the Greek navy. By now YaRT is the only Russian manufacturer of this kind.
