Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd launched a new tanker for the Russian customer

According to the press release of the Russian MoT on October, 27 the tanker “Ligovsky Prospect” got at the disposal of JSC Sovcomflot. Deputy Transport Minister Vyacheslav Ruksha and the head of Sovcomflot Sergei Terehin participated in the ceremony of commissioning the new ship. Ligovsky Prospect is the second tanker ordered by Russians at Daewoo under the Sovcomflot’s program of fleet renewal. The first “Nevsky Prospect” was commissioned on Aug, 29 this year, the third, Liteiny Prospect, will be commissioned this December. The new ice class 1B aframax tankers have the dwt of 115 000 tons. They are 250 m long and 44 m wide.
