Yantar Shipyard will build two vessels for Holland

Yantar has signed the contract with the Dutch Zanen on building two multi purpose vessels for carrying chemical cargoes. According to the head of the shipyard Nikolai Volov each ship is 130m long. The first will be delivered on March, 31 next year, the second on June, 31, 2004. Each ship will be 70% finished. In 2002-2003 Yantar used to build similar ships for the Dutch companies "Dalmulder&Dijko" and
"Breko".
At the moment the shipyard is finishing the repair of the sea landing air cushion ship Mordovia for the Baltic fleet. This is the third “air cushion” repaired by Yantar this year, according to the Commander of the Russian Baltic navy Vladimir Valuev. Apart from this the patrol boat Nastoichivy (Insistent) has been delivered for repair.
