Italy is to participate in utilizing Russian nuclear subs

According to the Deputy Director of Nerpa Shipyard Oleg Erin recently a respective document has been sighed between Nerpa and an Italian company. The Italians will participate in utilizing Victor-I class subs and building a container carrier for transporting the used nuclear fuel. The visit of the representatives of the top two Italian companies dealing with nuclear energy was under the umbrella “Global Partnership Program”. Meanwhile in Severodvinsk two Granit subs were utilized at the expense of the British funds. After that the utilization of the Akula subs started. The latter is financed by the US.
