All news Ukraine negotiates with Russia purchasing arms for a being developed Ukrainian corvette According to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoly Gritsenko in 2007 the Ministry of Defense will allocate $7,1 million for the design of the corvette. In 2007 sketch design will be completed, in 2008 - technical desig of the new ship. After that the govt will choose the enterprise for its construction. Speaking about the necessary number of the ships for the national Navy the minister said "it will be a question of 8-10 ships". Gritsenko expressed that the Navies of other countries will get interested in the Ukrainian corevette.
