Floating office made in Arkhangelsk

Arkhangelsk based «Petrovskaya Shipyard» built the first floating office. Construction of such offices, hotels and houses recently became very popular in Moscow and St.-Petersburg. First of all it is explained by the high prices of land and design works in the constructions. Today floating houses are a way out. The shipyard already laid down 2 floating 4-stars hotels. In the near future the Arkhangelsk shipbuilders intend to sign the contract on constructing 16 more floating hotels. And in the long term the administration hopes to secure jobs in this niche for five years. Regional Administration hopes that this perspective project will help Krasnaya Kuznitsa to get out of the crises. In 2006 during the reorganization of the shipyard it spited into two new structures: «Petrovskaya Shipyard» and «Arkhangelsk Shiprepair Plant». The floating office will transported to Moscow through the White Sea - Baltic canal.
