12.06.2007 14:05
Blagoveshchensk shipyard started water resistance tests of a new hydrographic boat being built at the order of the Ministry of Defense. It will be equipped with the newest hardware for research. The bigger part of it is made in the western regions of Russia. However, the there is also a lot of imported equipment. For example, the engine - from Germany, the anchor device – from Croatia.
However, the stage of installation of the equipment is still ahead. It will begin only after the tests of heat- and sound insulation. The Ministries of Defense is supervising each stage of the construction. The project is absolutely new and it is very technically complicated construction. For the shipyard this is the head ship of a series. Therefore it means a hard job. There have been technical difficulties with the pipeline, electricity cable, rigidity. However, all problems were successfully solved and the shipbuilders are sure that next ships will be easier.
Twenty shipbuilders are involved in the project. As of today the shipyard keeps the terms of the construction, moreover, some days are ahead of schedule. The hydrographic boat will study sea bottom, measure depth, define shallow places and maintain beacons. It is already known that the ship will be deployed next summer in Primorski Krai.
