This facility is intended to determine hydrodynamic characteristics of ship models up to 3 m in length, as well as for calm water, wave and dynamic positioning test of radio-controlled self-propelled models.
Basin dimensions: 35 x 22 x 3 m.
The basin is equipped with a small rotating beam (towing radius 0 - 8 m; speeds up to 5 m/s), a plate-type wavemaker for irregular waves with a specified energy spectrum (wave heights up to 0,15 m), and special tests rigs for determining ACV model static characteristics and for testing models of free-fall lifeboats.
