Stratification Tank

This tank is intended for research on interactions between ships and stratified marine environment with the aim of making naval ships stealthier in terms of underwater and surface detectability of their hydrophysical signatures associated with the wake.

Tank dimensions: 6 x 2 x 2 m

Environment:

• temperature gradients – from 0 to 1 °C/cm,
• salinity gradients – from 0 to 10 ‰/cm.

Model speeds - from 0,4 to 1,4 m/s
