Complex of Test Rigs for Research on Vibroacoustic Characteristics of Machinery, Unitised Plants, Pipeline Systems and Their Components
Technology of Krylov Shipbuilding Research Institute
1. Test Rig for Measurements of Input and Transfer Mechanical Impedances, Natural Frequencies and Vibration Modes of Structures
- Frequency range 5 - 5·103 Hz,
- Dynamic range 60 dB.
The test rig is intended to measure input and transfer mechanical and acoustic impedances of vibration insulating and damping equipment.
The test allows measuring complex input and transfer impedances in axial and lateral directions:
- mechanical impedance: within frequencies of 5 to 104 Hz at rated static loads of up to 2·104 kg;
- acoustic impedances: within frequencies of 5 to 103 Hz at rated static pressures of up to 1,5·106 N/m2.
2. Complex of Test Rigs for Research on Vibroacoustic Characteristics of Pipeline Systems and Their Components
These test rigs are intended to investigate and determine vibroacoustic characteristics of hydraulic systems and their components (levels of vibration, hydrodynamic and air noise, dynamic forces, dynamic deformation of pipes, and vibratory energy fluxes).
The test rigs are used for:
- research on vibratory energy propagation along pipes;
- research on acoustic interactions among system components;
- development of methods for system noise reduction;
- determination of parameters of pumps as noise and vibration sources;
- determination of the effectiveness of equipment for system vibroacoustic silencing (flexible hoses, flow noise mufflers, pipe hangers, etc.).
To solve these problems the design of the test rigs allows:
- changing pipeline configuration, moving system components and equipment with respect to each other thus simulating various arrangements of branched systems;
- fixing pipes to their foundations with rigid struts or vibration isolating hangers;
- installing various kinds of flexible hoses, flow noise mufflers and other system components in pipe systems;
- changing the pump capacity by controlling either the pump speed or the system hydraulic resistance;
- changing acoustic loads of the system;
- changing the static pressure of the water in the system from 0 to 106 N/m2.
3. Test Rig for Research on Vibroacoustic Characteristics of Machinery, Unitised Plants, Foundation and Frame Structures
The rig provides for experimental research on vibroacoustic characteristics of machinery, mechanical plants, foundation and frame structures in support of development and optimisation work on vibration isolating and damping, model and laboratory research on vibratory energy radiation and propagation, vibroacoustic diagnostics and localisation of noise and vibration sources in machinery.
